Cheap chinese stripped clipsSep 01, 2010 Yes, they're cheap. But I recommend staying away from these because they're simply Chinese junk. For starters the clips are very tight, once they loosened up though, I made them work. They don't balance well in the rifle inserts, so pushing on the wrong spot will simply cause the bullets to jam up.
The surplus clips are much better in quality and construction if you must have stripper clips, which in my opinion you don't really need them.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE TO A FRIEND.
Better Than ExpectedAug 25, 2010 The stripper clips I received were not roughly finished at all- the quality was very surprising, actually.
Loading isn't super-smooth, but that's the fault of the rimmed case design rather than the clips. No matter what, it's still a fairly clunky process, so if you're looking to turn your Mosin into an almost semi-auto super-plinking machine, these won't quite get you there. Look on YouTube for videos on how to use them.
Pretty goodAug 14, 2010 I bought these and at first only two worked and it wasn't very reliable. But after using them alot they work very smoothly and 4 of them work flawlessly. The other get stuck sometimes and that's why it gets 4 stars. But the others work fine and I can use them to load five rounds in less than 3 seconds.
not what i thought they were!Jul 24, 2010 these are merely to aid in loading. once i looked up how to use them, it was so easy to do. these clips merely sit in the slot, you pull up on the nose of the uppermost bullet and push down until all bullets are in the mag well. i thought they were mags, but then, i've never been around the guns that didn't use mags or cylinders. when loading rounds, keep the clip off of 90*, this will facilitate proper loading, which is a must for proper cycling. if loading righthanded, the top of the clip should be slightly to the left. for lefty's, the opposite. i now see why you need either really tall rings, or a scout setup.
Serves its purpose wellJul 24, 2010 Does what it is supposed to do, sometimes they jam a little bit but that is to be expected. Great deal for the price. Will be buying more when I need more
